Privacy Policy
Last updated July 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how GLOUCESTERSHIRE GLASS LTD, trading as Vitreo, collects, uses, shares and protects your personal data when you visit glosglass.shop, place an order, hold a membership, or contact our team.
1. Who is responsible for your data
GLOUCESTERSHIRE GLASS LTD (trading as Vitreo) is the data controller for personal data processed through glosglass.shop. You can reach us at 82 Tennyson Road, GL51 7DB, United Kingdom, by email at support@glosglass.shop, or by phone at +44 7583349311.
2. What we collect
- Contact & delivery details: name, email, phone (optional), shipping address, city, postal code and country.
- Order & account data: items purchased, order value, order history, membership tier and status.
- Support & enquiry data: messages, wholesale enquiries, and breakage claims including any photos you send.
- Payment metadata: confirmation that a payment succeeded, the payment reference and billing country. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Technical & usage data: device, browser, IP-derived region and essential cookie identifiers.
3. Collection sources — where we collect it from
We collect personal data from the following collection sources:
- Directly from you: checkout, contact and wholesale forms, membership sign-up, and support or breakage-claim messages.
- Automatically from your device: essential cookies and server logs (device, browser and IP-derived region).
- From our payment processor: Stripe confirms payment status, a reference and limited billing metadata.
- From delivery partners: carriers provide dispatch and delivery status updates for your order.
4. Why we use it and our legal bases
- To fulfil your order and deliver goods — performance of a contract.
- To operate memberships and process subscription billing — performance of a contract.
- To provide support, handle breakage claims and returns — contract and legitimate interests.
- To retain checkout details you entered even if payment was not completed, for follow-up — legitimate interests; you may object at any time.
- To send marketing where you have opted in — consent.
- To meet tax, accounting and legal obligations — legal obligation.
5. Payment provider boundary
Card payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and processes your card details directly on its own secure infrastructure; Vitreo never receives, sees or stores your full card number, CVC or full card expiry. We receive only the payment result, a reference and limited billing metadata needed to reconcile your order.
6. Order fulfilment, delivery and returns data
To ship your glassware we share your name, delivery address and phone (where provided) with our fulfilment and carrier partners. Returns, exchanges and breakage claims are handled by our support team using your order and any photos you provide. Billing data is used only to reconcile payments and process any refunds.
7. Who we share it with
- Payment processing: Stripe.
- Hosting & infrastructure: our website hosting and serverless platform.
- Database & storage: our managed database provider for orders and enquiries.
- Delivery: fulfilment and shipping carriers.
- Email: our transactional email provider for receipts and support replies.
We do not sell your personal data.
8. International transfers
Some processors may store or process data outside the UK or EEA. Where they do, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses (with the UK Addendum where relevant) to protect your data.
9. How long we keep it
Order and transaction records are retained as required for tax and accounting (generally up to six years). Marketing contact data is kept until you unsubscribe. Enquiry and lead data collected through our forms is retained for no more than 24 months unless it becomes part of an order record.
10. Your rights (UK GDPR / EU GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any right, email support@glosglass.shop. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) or your local EU supervisory authority.
11. Your rights (California / CCPA)
California residents may request the categories and specific pieces of personal information collected, request deletion, and are entitled to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA. To make a request, contact support@glosglass.shop.
12. Do Not Sell or Share
We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. No opt-out is required, but you may still contact us with any preference.
13. Cookies and analytics
We use essential cookies to run the cart and checkout. Any analytics is limited and privacy-respecting. See our Cookie Policy for detail.
14. Automated decisions and children
The Room & Ritual Finder gives suggestions only and makes no decision with legal effect; see the Finder disclaimer. Our store is not directed at children: accounts are not permitted for under-13s, 13–17s require a parent or guardian's consent, and purchases require you to be 18 or older.
15. Security
We use encryption in transit, access controls and reputable processors. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the relevant authority of a reportable breach as required.
